In April 2018, Dr. Tonya Featherston the Executive Director of CSEW formed a partnership with Baltimore City Public Schools, The Family League of Baltimore and the Open Society Institute to coach 5 BCPSS schools in becoming restorative practices intensive learning sites as a part of Baltimore City Schools Blueprint. Dr. Featherston will be providing support and coaching to Mt. Royal Elementary/Middle, Arundel Elementary, Alexander Hamilton Elementary, and Mt. Washington Elementary/Middle for the 2018-2019 school year.

Dr. Featherston began coaching BCPS schools in restorative practices in 2006 when she received an OSI Fellowship to coach City Springs, Hampstead Hill and Collington Elelmentary/Middle Schools in partnership with the Baltimore Curriculum Project. Twelve years later, the original 3 schools are still using restorative practices as an integral part of their school culture and way of being.
