This dynamic and highly interactive workshop explores the consequences of childhood trauma and identifies tangible strategies to make your youth program trauma informed. We will focus on understanding how trauma impacts learning and behavior in teens and young adults and what to do to support them. We will focus on giving youth a voice in determining their future and building on their strengths. You will have an opportunity to practice strategies that you can take back to your program and begin implementing immediately. Lastly, we will focus on how the adults who serve children impacted by trauma can avoid compassion fatigue and keep themselves healthy while doing this important work.
